Day 8 – Crossfit = Bootcamp for now

Since the gym is still not ready they are holding BootCamp sessions at Frankie Allen Park.

Desi the British BootCamp instructor facilitated today’s WOD

It was pretty cool. We began with a light run then Dynamic Stretches.

Then we broke into 2 teams and did 3 rounds of running up a small hill and pick a card. You run back down and the number of the card represents the number of reps. When you pull the 1st joker then all exercise reps were doubled until you pulled the 2nd joker. The suite of the card would determine the style/type of exercise.

  • Round 1 was Push Ups
    • ♥ – military
    • ♦ – diamond
    • ♣ – stripper
    • ♠ – (can’t remember)
  • Round 2 was Sit ups
    • ♥ – Regular sit-ups
    • ♦ – Row Boats
    • ♣ – Bi-cycles
    • ♠ – Spreadies… (I can’t remember but they were akward)
  • Round 3 was a Combination
    • ♥ – lunges
    • ♦ – frog jumps
    • ♣ – mountain climbers
    • ♠ – squats

Fortunately our team won/finished first and our prize was to decide what the losing team’s 1 minute drill was while we did 1 minute jumping jacks. We chose burpees, squats and nothing on the third round (I guess they had enough)
