East Atlanta Strut

A free one-day extravaganza that showcases the hottest in-town neighborhood in Atlanta. All proceeds from wristband and other event sales are donated back to the East Atlanta neighborhood.

Usually it’s a big neighborhood parade hosted locally for families, businesses, and clubs to come together. Here is their website link.

This year they asked for some old classic cars to drive around bring the parade to the neighbors because of the pandemic

My friend, Lawrence, led the convoy and his daughter shot this awesome video.

Cloudland State Park

Our 4th Hike this year. the Georgia Department of Natural Resources site hosts information on all the parks in the state.

Cloudland Canyon State Park is about 2 hours from Atlanta.

From the main parking area we went to the overlook then followed the West Rim Loop Trail, Yellow, down to the Waterfalls Trail, Brown, which lead us to the Sitton’s Gulch Trail, Blue path.

Along the way the views up top are spectacular overlooking 2 large waterfalls. Then along the waterfalls trail we snugged the canyon wall which lead us down metal stairs to the Sitton’s Gulch Trail that hugs the waterfall river which has many places to stop for phenamal views of nature.

Our hike took us 6.49 miles with a time of 3.5 miles and many elevation changes.
