Cloudland State Park

Our 4th Hike this year. the Georgia Department of Natural Resources site hosts information on all the parks in the state.

Cloudland Canyon State Park is about 2 hours from Atlanta.

From the main parking area we went to the overlook then followed the West Rim Loop Trail, Yellow, down to the Waterfalls Trail, Brown, which lead us to the Sitton’s Gulch Trail, Blue path.

Along the way the views up top are spectacular overlooking 2 large waterfalls. Then along the waterfalls trail we snugged the canyon wall which lead us down metal stairs to the Sitton’s Gulch Trail that hugs the waterfall river which has many places to stop for phenamal views of nature.

Our hike took us 6.49 miles with a time of 3.5 miles and many elevation changes.
