I was a little nervous about doing so many activities in one day but it all turned out well.
- 9:00 – 9:45 Walk Bart around Chastain Park (3 miles)
- 11:00-11:50 WOD at Frankie Allen Park
- 1:30pm – 3:30pm Basketball at Warren T. Jackson Elementary School
All I had in the morning was a protein shake and a protein bar. I really wasn’t hungry but I had a nice dinner of lean steak and vegies with water.
I still have a long way to go but I am very happy with my progress so far. I started earlier this year about 236 lbs. and I weighed myself this morning and I was 215.5 lbs. I owe my progress all to CrossFit (and diet, staying away from Oreos and milk – my weakness). I have to do better about drinking more water though.
Got to the court this afternoon and there were about 15 guys and game 1 had already started. Game 2 was great, I had a good squad and was pleased with the way we played. I noticed I was considerably quicker than normal yielding me 3 steals and being able to out run the other guys up and down the court.
Didn’t get to play the 3rd game because I missed my shot from the top of the key so I waited for Game 4. Game 4 was a bit tougher than Game 2 because the guys were definately a lot more physical. We lost but I was still happy with the way I played.
Game 5 was total domination by our team. I was surprised that after all my activities in the morning I was still able to play at a high level. Although, I missed some easy lay ups we still ended up winning.
Game 6, 7, and 8 was 3 vs 3 (all the others had left). Well this was a total pwnage and it really didn’t seem fair but I was more than happy to have it go our way.
All in all, a great day to do things outdoors. I am extremely happy, as I mentioned I still have to lose some more weight and build up my endurance because CrossFit continues to kick my ass.
Or maybe it was the shoes… 🙂
